ABOUT NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE
Naturopathic medicine is a comprehensive and individualized approach to addressing health concerns and treating disease. It embraces the concept of “vis medicatrix naturae”or the healing power of nature, which is a phrase attributed to Hippocrates.
Naturopathic medicine uses natural substances (vitamins, minerals, botanicals, and food) and therapies (acupuncture, massage) to support and stimulate the body to heal itself. Integrative medicine combines modern medicine with natural therapies. This allows for a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to relieving symptoms and optimizing health. Integrative medicine can reduce the need for medications and surgical intervention.
Naturopathic medicine is covered by most extended healthcare plans.
